About twenty minutes east through the Santa Susana Pass on the 118. That makes Chatsworth a shorter run for us than half of Ventura County — the 118 goes straight through, and the crew arrives at the start of the day rather than the middle of it.

Chatsworth still has horse-keeping zoning and the property shapes that go with it: long unpaved drives, gates set well back from the road, and outbuildings holding more volume than the house. Tell us about the barn and the tack room when you book — that is usually where the day actually goes.

Narrow, winding and steep, with turnarounds that a 26-foot truck cannot make. The apartments and condos along Devonshire and Lassen near the station, and the highest rental turnover in Chatsworth. What moving here actually involves
The single most useful thing to know about a Chatsworth move is administrative rather than physical: you are in the City of Los Angeles, not Ventura County.
That catches people who have moved across the pass. Power and water are both LADWP rather than Southern California Edison and a county waterworks district. Refuse and bulky-item collection are LA Sanitation, and bulky pickup is free for residents — genuinely worth using before you pay anyone, including us, to haul furniture away. If your street needs kerb space held for a truck, that is a LADOT permit with a few days' lead time, not a call to the city on the morning.
The physical version is the terrain. Chatsworth runs from flat suburban grid up into the Santa Susana foothills within a few blocks, and the streets change character with it. We would rather ask you two questions about grade and turnaround when you book than send a truck that cannot get up your road.
One local note worth having: the 118 through the pass is the artery for everything we do here, and the direction matters at the wrong hour. We schedule around the commute rather than sitting in it while you pay by the hour.

Every week. We are based in Simi Valley, which is about twenty minutes east through the Santa Susana Pass on the 118 — Chatsworth is closer to us than Oxnard is. The number is (805) 375-0765 and Lyn or Gary answers it.
We do not keep a Chatsworth address and will not pretend otherwise. What matters is that we are twenty minutes away rather than across the valley, so a Chatsworth job is a normal working day for us rather than an expedition.
How much does a move within Chatsworth cost?
Hourly, crew and truck included. Crews run from two to 10 people depending on the job — a two-person crew for an apartment, bigger teams for a full house — and most three-bedroom Chatsworth homes are a single day.

Can you get a full-size truck up the hillside streets?
Often not, and we would rather say so before the day than discover it on your clock. The lanes off Santa Susana Pass Road have turns and grades a 26-foot truck cannot make.
We shuttle those with a smaller truck staged at the bottom. It takes a little longer and it does not cost extra — there is no "difficult access" fee on our rate sheet.
Do you move into the senior communities around here?
Regularly. The Chatsworth, Porter Ranch and Northridge corridor is one of the reasons we opened up this side of the pass — assisted living, independent living and retirement community move-ins are a large part of what we do.
Tell us the community and we will confirm their move-in window, their insurance requirements and their quiet hours before you book anything.
Can you clear the garage at the same time?
Yes — that is our TRASH DAY division and it runs on the same job. Flat-rate pickup, quoted upfront, donations and recycling go first, and it is usually cheaper than paying to move something you were going to get rid of anyway.
LA Sanitation will also collect bulky items free for City of LA residents, and we will tell you when that is the better answer.
